Vaseline Spray&Go Body Moisturiser Review

Hello my lovelies today i am bringing you another body care delight that i've really been enjoying using. I mentioned last week in my Garnier Beauty Oil Scrub review that i've been making much more of an effort in that area lately due to some very undesirable fake tan results. However i am and will always be a lazy skincare/bodycare girl, and am always on the lookout for new products that require minimum effort and thats where the Vaseline Spray&Go comes in.
Vaseline's Spray&Go body moisturiser is available in three different versions aloe fresh, total moisture (oat extract) and the one i picked up cocoa radiant.
As the name may suggest its a spray on moisturiser for the body, designed to be quick both to apply and dry resulting in fuss free application.
To apply you simply twist the top to open hold roughly 10cm away from the body and spray on to the skin. The moisturiser comes out in a light mist that feel fresh and so cooling on the skin. Its a light lotion like formula that is easy to rub in and dries really quickly. Once dry it doesn't feel sticky or greasy it absorbs well leaving the skin lovely and soft.
I love the cocoa butter scent it smells so amazing and really lingers on the skin, for someone who really couldn't be bothered to moisturise my body before i find myself applying this all the time as the cooling sensation really refreshes my skin and i just cant get enough of the smell.
I really cannot sing its praise's enough, it really is a great fuss free product that ticks all the box's and for only £4.99 i think its really reasonably priced too, this little beauty will definitely be coming away on holiday with me to cool down my post sun skin.

Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipstick

Lately i seem to have a massive problem with having to try every new lip product that comes out on the market. It's a bit riddiculous really considering i have only one pair of lips and yet i have a draw full of lip products. Lipsticks, lipglosses, lip crayons, lip laquers, liquid lipsticks ive tried them all like the sucker that i am. 

I recently picked up Bourjois lastest offering the Rouge Edition Velvet lipsticks, yes i may not need any more but as a blogger its basically my job to test them out right? Im just doing my duty... 

The Bourjois Rouge Velvet lipsticks are decsribed as being 'bold, matte and long lasting colour with 24hr hold. I'ts lightweight, velvety texture and non-drying formula gives extreme comfort that doesnt smudge'

Sounds good right, but do they live up to the claim?

Colour-

Their are eight colours in the new Velvet Rouge collection consisting of nudes, pinks and reds. I choose three shades 04 Peach Club an orange/peach, 05 Ole Flamingo a warm toned raspberry and 06 Ping Pong a cool toned pink. All of the shades are gorgeous bold colours perfect for summer, they are very pigmented so you don't need a lot for a full wash of colour to the lips. 

Formula/longevity-

I was a bit dubious about trying another matte lip product after i was left a bit disappointed with the formula of the MUA Velvet Lip lacquers, they tended to go quite chunky and cracked after a few hours wear. I am happy to say the Rouge Edition Velvet could not be more different. They apply so light to the lips almost like a stain. They dry incredibly quickly and leave the lips soft and just as the name suggests they actually feel velvety. They really couldn't be more different to matte products I've tried in the past they don't cake onto the lip,s your left feeling like There is nothing even on the lips at all. 

What also impressed me is how long they last, I've tested them eating and drinking and they still last yes they do come away a bit but the lasting power is impressive. 

My thoughts-

I really am loving the Rough Edition Velvet lipsticks the amazing bold colours paired with the light long-lasting finish makes these the perfect summer lip product for holidays, festivals and days at the beach where you want light makeup that will last. The only downsides for me is the smell which i find quite off putting i tend to like my lip products with a fruity scent and i find them quite chemical smelling. Also as much as i love the colours in the collection i feel like there quite similar and they could do with a few more varied shades to the collection, i personally would love a more muted baby pink shade and perhaps a purple, hopefully they will bring out more shades later on.

May Favourites

I cant believe its June already! Its an exciting month for me as I'm going on a girls holiday at the end of the month woohoo i cant wait, unfortunately this means putting my organizational skills to the test to try and get posts planned, written and scheduled before then! Anyway i didn't do a favorites post last month i don't think i had many new favorites i wanted to rave about however this month i do. Some are new to the blog some i've blogged about but all i have been loving using this past month.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water-
I have been using Michellar waters to remove my makeup and cleanse my skin at night now for about eighteen months. I started off using Bioderma which i used religiously until some of the highstreet beauty brands started to bring out their own versions. As much as i loved Bioderma is was a royal pain in my behind to get hold off so i decided to try a different one. I've tried the L'oreal and Garnier versions and to be honest i don't see a lot of difference in either both are good, the only reason i've stuck with the Garnier one is it seems better value for money. You get 400ml of product which will last you months and its a very reasonable price, i actually picked up my latest bottle on offer in Superdrug for under £4 which is just amazing.

V05 Plump it up Dry Backcombing Spray-
I am useless at actually backcombing my hair i just end up with a very knotty mess and most definitely not the volumous Cheryl Cole esque hair I'm after so i thought i would see if i could find a product to do it for me. I picked up the V05 Backcombing Spray and I'm really enjoying using it, you just shake and spray it onto the hair and it really does give a nice boost. Its my roots that i have a problem with my hair is fine and sits so flat but this gives a nice bit of volume and its so easy to use.

Soap&Glory One Heck Of A Blot-
I reviewed this product a few weeks back and am happy to report Im loving still loving it very much which is why its made the favorites post. It sets my makeup really well so well in-fact that i've noticed i don't need to touch up during the day as much. The only small thing that concerns me is i've actually hit pan already, only slightly in the middle but i am interested to see how much longer it will last as my Rimmel Stay Matte used to last a fair few months.

Trilogy Certified Organic Rosenip Oil-
I tend to use this oil quite on and off, i like to use it when my skins been breaking out as its great to slather on at night to heal and reduce any scarring or marks. As me skin had been clear for a while i had not been using it but lately my skins started breaking out again so i brought this little beauty back out.  I've been applying a few drops to my face at night and gentle rubbing it in, in the morning my skin always looks fresh, bright and nourished.

Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream-
This seems to have become my new day base of choice, since i bought it this is pretty much all i wear at work and on days off when i don't want a full made up look i reach for this too. Its so light on the skin, the colour match is great for me and it gives a decent amount of coverage exactly what i want.

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush-
This is the first time i've featured a makeup brush in my favorites, however i really do feel it deserves it. I use the Expert face brush to apply my foundations and sometimes also my concealer. Its quite a firm brush which is incredibly soft which makes it great for applying and blending foundations. I find this blends the foundation so well and leaves the skin with an amazing finish, i really so love it.

Bourjois Little Pot Blush Rose de Jaspe-
This month this has become my new everyday blush, my poor Sleek Rose Gold blush hasn't had a look in. The beautiful rose colour is so flattering and goes well with all makeup looks, and the subtle hint of shimmer also looks so pretty.

Garnier Oil Beauty Nourishing Scrub

Hello lovelies, i want to share with you a skin-care product I'm loving lately Garnier's new Oil Beauty Scrub.
Being a fake tanner its important that to get the best possible results from your tan you need to do a certain amount of body upkeep, and if I'm being entirely honest I'm pretty poor at bothering with it. I know its recommended to exfoliate and moisturize the skin properly to get the best results but i just tended to forget and then just slap my tan on anyway. I could kind of get away with my less than perfect tan and uneven results when i used a lighter fake tan and it wasn't so noticeable but since switching to a dark fake tan i haven't been able to ignore the dodgy ankles and the weird patches on the inside of my elbow that just wouldn't pick up the tan so would stay white, really attractive i can tell you!
I decided it was time to stop being so lazy with my body care and actually do some of the recommended upkeep, so that meant buying myself a body scrub to actually scrub away the old fake tan and exfoliate so it didn't just build up resulting in a dodgy looking tan.
I picked up the Garnier Oil Beauty Scrub as id been using the Garnier Ultimate Beauty oil and loving it, it feels lovely on the skin and has the most amazing scent so i hoped i would be as equally impressed with the scrub.
The Oil Beauty Scrub is an oil-infused scrub that not only aims to exfoliate the skin but Nourish and Illuminate it. It contains Argan, Macadamia, Almond and Rose oil the same as the Beauty Oil so it has that same amazing smell that lingers on the skin way after use.
Its a thick oil scrub with fine exfoliating particles, i have quite sensitive skin on my legs from shaving so harsh scrubs can be painful and irritate the skin, i have no problem with this scrub its very gentle yet still does an amazing job of exfoliating the skin.
After using my skin feels incredibly soft and nourished with a healthy glow, its as if i've applied a moisturizing product and not a body scrub at all.
This is without a doubt the best scrub i've used, and its sorted out my fake tan issues not more build up of tan or strange patches for me now, Hallelujah!

Soap&Glory Make Yourself Youthful, Rejuvenating Eye Cream

 

I don't no if it was my mild (massive) panic at turning twenty five back in march that started it, but i started thinking about aging and and taking care of my skin and felt it was time i started to take better care of my eye area. I wouldn't say i have any real concerns in that area, just the normal puffy eyes in the mornings and slight dark circles, but i decided i should start using an eye cream anyway, as don't they say prevention is better than cure?
I am a big fan of Soap & Glory skin-care so i picked up their newest eye cream to try out. Make Yourself Youthful Rejuvenating eye cream, which claims to fight dark circles and under eye puff, smooth away fine lines and wrinkles, tone, firm and instantly tighten, and also brighten and illuminate seemed exactly what i was looking for.
The cream comes packaged in a small silver plastic pot, not the most exciting packaging but quiet sleek looking. It costs £14 which for only 6M of product does seem quite expensive, however the cream itself is very thick in consistency meaning you do only need a small amount each time, i literally lightly dab my finger in once and that is easily enough for both eyes so i can see it lasting for quite a while.
It has a slight fresh fragrance but nothing overwhelming which i like as sometimes heavily fragrance skin-care puts me off. Considering how thick the cream is it applies incredibly lightly to the skin and absorbs well without leaving a greasy residue.
When applied it instantly cools the skin and makes the skin look illuminated, it really is great for waking up tired eyes and making them feel refreshed.
So far i am really enjoying using Make Yourself Youthful Rejuvenating eye cream i love the refreshing feeling when applied and it has definitely helped with dark circles, and although currently wrinkles are not really a concern for me i hope that using it will help to prevent them from forming.
I would definitely recommend you try it out for yourselves, yes i expect there are lots of cheaper alternatives but it does exactly what it claims and you really don't need to use a lot so that £14 will go a long way.

Lips-

L'oreal L'Etraordinaire Liquid Lipsticks in Tangerine Sonate 

So a few weeks back i reviewed the newest addition to my palette collection, the Sleek Del Mar palette, (review) its the most amazing collection of Summer perfect shades and it has inspired me to try a few new looks.
There are so many different colour combos i want to try but to start with i wanted to create a really summery holiday bright look.
To create the eye look i applied the orange shade Sunset Strip all over my eye lid, i then took the dark purple Ambience and worked that into the crease to create some dimension to the eyes. I used the bright purple Paradise under the bottom lash-line, and after applying some false lashes mascara and some black liner to the top lash-line, i finished the eyes by using the lighter blue Poolside above the black liner for an extra pop of colour.
I've never worn orange on my eyes before but i love how it looks, and its actually a lot easier to wear than you would think, it also really made my green eyes pop, to brighten the look even more i used orange on my lips too and i love how the finished look turned out, its bright but still very wearable.

I hope you liked this makeup look, I'm definitely going to do another one using the Del Mar palette soon.

L'oreal L'Extraordinaire Liquid Lipstick

L -Fuschia Drama/Tangerine Sonate/Rose Melody-R

The L'oreal L'Extraordinaire Liquid Lipsticks (what a mouthful!) are a new fusion product combining "the colour intensity of a lipstick, magnifying shine of a gloss with the softness of a balm"  They have been out for a few months now, and are exclusive to Boots. On my last little beauty splurge i picked up three of the shades to test out as it was 3 for 2 at the time, boy was it a hard decision they come in 9 beautiful shades with a mixture of vivid brights and pretty nudes. I decided to try a couple of bright shades Fuschia Drama and Tangerine Sonate and a nude Rose Melody.

Fuschia Drama- is the most amazing Fuschia colour, its a blue toned pink that does look very bold when you swatch it. On the lips it's in-fact a very flattering shade, not too subtle and not too bright just perfect, i do love them all but i think it is my favorite of the three.

Tangerine Dream- is a vivid orange, not one for the feint hearted this shade is a very orange orange no hint of red to be seen. Orange lips are so hot right now so this is bang on trend in the beauty world, i love the colour its not as bold as a matte lipstick would be the glossy finish tones it down slightly.

Rose Melody- is a pink nude, there is a few nudes in the collection i decided on this one as i like a pink tone in my nudes and this one is just so pretty. This looks so natural a great everyday your lips but better colour.

Pros-
Good pigmentation, Glossy finish, High shine, Non sticky, Moisturizing, Nice sleek packaging, Gorgeous shades, Fruity smell.

Cons-
Not very long lasting, Darker shades slightly more difficult to apply.

I am very in love with the L'Extraordinaire Liquid Lipsticks, for me the pros far outweigh the cons, no they don't last very long most glossy finish lip products don't, but they look so good i cant say i care.
I think their is a great selection of shades, I'm obsessed with the three i have and I'm desperate to try more there is a gorgeous pinky/coral in the range that will be mine.
I love how they feel on the lips soft and nourishing like a balm. With their fruity scent, light glossy finish and vivid colours they really are the perfect summer lip product.
