The Christmas Tag 2014

I love everything about Christmas, although I'm a a massive Summer girl and love the sunshine and the warmth i just think Christmas time brings out the best in people i love the festivity, getting to spend a lot of quality time with my family and friends and of course eating and drinking everything in sight! I  don't do a lot of tag posts however as i was tagged in by my friend Nicole and i though it had some good questions and is a good way to get to know a bit more about me at one of my favorite times of the year i thought i would do it, so here it is.

Q1- What are your favorite Christmas movies?

For me when i think of Christmas films i think Home Alone i must have seen it a million times and it never gets old, i also absolutely love Elf its such a funny film. A lot of people i know say Love Actually and are shocked when i say i hate it but i really do i just find it a bit sad, i like my happy funny Christmas films.

Q2- Do you open your Christmas presents on Christmas eve or Christmas morning?

Christmas morning always, i couldn't imagine opening them on Christmas eve it would ruin having something exciting to wake up too, i would probably just stay in bed.

Q3- Do you have a favorite Christmas memory?

I don't think i have just the one, i've had some great Christmas's and great times with family, i would love to go back to being a child for one more Christmas to experience the excitement from a child's perspective again. 

Q4- Favorite festive food?

All of it! Ha no really i just love eating at Christmas, I'm not one for Christmas pudding or Mince pies but i love the actual Christmas dinner itself, and you cant beat a bit of chocolate log. 

Q5- Favorite Christmas gift?

Im incredibly lucky, and always am spoilt by my lovely family at Christmas, i've had some amazing presents over the years and i don't think i could pick a favorite. 

Q6- Favorite Christmas scent?

My Lush Snow Fairy shower gel has become my favorite smell of Christmas i love using it in the Winter and i will be very sad when its all gone.

Q7- Do you have any Christmas eve traditions?

No not really, i used to go out with my friends on Christmas eve but after spending one Christmas particularly hung-over and unable to fully enjoy the day i don't really tend to go out anymore i don't want anything to spoil the day. This year i will be going out for a bite to eat and a couple of drinks with family but i will be behaving.

Q8- What tops your tree?

An angelic picture of me... ha god I'm just so funny, err no i believe it a silver star.

Q9- As a child what was the one (crazy,wild, extravagant)gift you always asked for but never 

received?

I always wanted my own puppy, i was a bit obsessed with the Andrex puppy you know the golden labradors? I was never allowed one, but i will have one one day and it will carry my loo roll for me!

Q10- What is the best part of Christmas for you?

Definitely spending time with your loved ones, its great to treat the people you love and give them presents but most of all just celebrating and bringing everyone together, its just a lovely time of year.

The start of 2013 was when i really started to get into reading blogs, which was what lead to me deciding to start my own in May. I would say my top five new favorites of 2013 were CoutureGirl, Glambeautys, Stylingo, Fashion INFlux and EmTalks.

I am loving LLMLRS lately and i wish i had found her blog sooner i love that girls style. 

4. Your favorite blog post of 2013 

My favorite posts to do are definitely the more creative posts like nail tutorials and makeup looks if i had to pick one main favorite i think i would go with my Christmas Party/NYE Makeup Look i loved creating this eye look and i want to do a lot more makeup looks in 2014.

5. What would you like to improve (if anything) on your blog next year?

I would like to improve my overall blog design really i'm hoping to get it all designed professionally as i do it all my self at the moment and my technical skills are very limited.

6. Name one blog you have a blog crush on

This one is easy CoutureGirl, its just a great blog, i love everything about it.

7. How often do you post? 

Well i aim to post three times a week, Tuesdays, Thursdays and a day at the weekend. I say aim because due to work, life etc this sometimes isn't always possible.

8. Share your first post of 2013

My first post of 2013 was also my first ever blog post last May, it was a review of my April Glossybox and was titled My First Glossybox.

9. Name one thing you would be doing if you weren't typing this post right now.

Well i've just finished work i'm tired and id love to be chilling and catching up on tv but no here i am typing away...

10. What have you loved the most about blogging this year?

The biggest highlight for me has been being involved in the bogging community, i love getting involved in the twitter chats and have had the chance to attend a couple of event and meet some lovely people and i hope that will continue and develop through 2014.

The Autumn Tag!

Hello you lovely lot, I had really been wanting to do the Autumn tag. I thought it would be a nice post to do, to get into the Autumn spirit, so i was really glad when my fav bloggy duo,  Claire and Lauren from Stylingo tagged me in. If you don't already follow them go and check there blog out as its one of my favorites!  

Favorite thing about Autumn?

Although i am a massive lover of summer, when autumn comes around i find myself with that happy warm feeling knowing that its time to bring out the toasty clothes and spend more nights in the warm, watching xfactor in your pjs with a cuppa... or a glass (bottle) of wine.  

Favorite drink?

Hot chocolate! I find as soon as the weather starts to get a bit colder i start craving it, i never really fancy it in the summer, not sure why as i still drink tea year round, i just feel its not weather appropriate. 

Favorite scent?

I don't no if this question means scent as in perfume or just a autumn scent in general so I'm going to cover both...  Vera Wang  Pink Princess and err leaves?....

Best lipstick?

Love the berry colored lipsticks for Autumn, my favorite is Kate Moss for Rimmel 107. 

Go to moisturizer?

I cant really pick a go to moisturizer, i change mine so often as i like to keep trying new skincare. When Autumn comes around i do make sure i use lot more and really apply a good amount before bed even though i have oily skin it still needs the extra moisture.  

Go to colours for the eyes?

Definitely deep browns and copper shades to go with berry lips. 

Favorite band/singer to listen to?

I don't know that i really listen to different music at different times of the year (other than christmas) but the band I'm loving now and will be for the remainder of Autumn is the editors, i cant stop listening to there latest album. 

Favorite outfit to wear?

Dresses, with thick tights, boots and layered with comfy jumpers and scarves to keep warm. 

Autumn Treat?

Every Autumn i usually treat myself to a new pair of boots and a nice new coat. 

Favorite place to be?

Its just the best feeling sometimes to be at home in the warm with a nice hot drink and munching away on your favorite comfort foods, when the weather outside is miserable and you don't have to go anywhere.
