Collective Mac Haul

07 March 2015

I've been really into buying new makeup lately, i seem to go through phases of being more into buying makeup or clothes and i've been a bit naughty on the makeup front and fancied trying a few new bits from Mac. I bought a couple pieces last month and then i went on a birthday shopping trip on Tuesday and picked up a few more bits.
This post is just to show you what i have bought, so for anyone interested in knowing what i thought about them and seeing swatches i expect i will review them all individually when i've used them a bit more.

Mac Studio Fix Fluid-
Id been wanting to try a Mac foundation for a while now, i admit i had been a bit skeptical in the past hearing some people say they seem to break their skin out but i've also heard so many people say how much they love them so i thought id have to try one out for myself. I decided Studio Fix being a long wearing foundation would probably be the best match for my oily skin so i picked it up in the shade NC20.

Mac Vanilla Pigment-
Pigments are great as they are so multi-functional not only can they be used on the eyes but also as a highlighter and even on the lips. I thought Vanilla would be a great one to start with and I'm looking forward to playing around with it.

Mac Heroine Lipstick-
I have a list about as-long as my arm of all the Mac lipsticks i want to buy, Heroine had been top of my list for a while. I'm a sucker for a purple lip colour and Heroine is just the perfect bold shade.

Mac Nightmoth Lip Pencil-
I've been getting a bit more into lip liners at the moment, and id seen so many gorgeous lip looks using the Nightmoth liner. For a dark colour its incredibly versatile, i also thought it would be the perfect accompaniment for Heroine lipstick.

Mac Mineralize Skinfinish Natural-
I fancied trying out a Mac face powder i could use to set my makeup and being such a massive fan of the Mineralize Skinfinish highlighter in Soft and Gentle i thought i would give one of the Natural powders a try, i picked up the shade Light Plus.

Like i said i will ore than likely review all the makeup featured in the haul, but if there is a product in particular you really want me to review let me no in the comments.

Highstreet Beauty Haul

30 September 2014

I have been fairly well behaved the past month and didn't really treat myself to any new beauty bits or makeup, so come payday i decided i deserved a few treats. I haven't done a haul post in ages so i  thought i would share with you some bits i picked up from Boots and Superdrug a few are new buys and there are a few re-purchases as well.

John Frieda Full Repair Hydrate+Rescue Shampoo and Conditioner-
I got sent these to review a while back and i enjoyed using them so much i had to buy them again, they are both are really lovely and leave my hair feeling great. (Full Review)

Essie Good To Go Topcoat-
Topcoats make such a difference to the overall finish of your nails, they make your polish last longer and if you like doing nail art like i do its an absolute must. I've been practically scraping the dregs out of my Nails inc. topcoat and thought it was time i bought a new one, i like Essie polishes and i love their Matte topcoat so I'm hoping this will be hit too.

Batiste Dry Shampoo in Original-
I know dry shampoo is not the most exciting thing to have in a beauty haul, but for me it is a necessity. I have tried this one before, but since then have used Batiste's blonde and their XXL Volume dry shampoo which i didn't really like, i find the volume one makes my hair feel matted and a bit strange so i decided it was time to go back to the original, an oldie but a goodie!

Maybelline Brow Drama in Dark Blonde-
Having just ran out of my Benefit Gimmie brow i was looking to try and find a slightly cheaper highstreet alternative, a few brands have brought their own versions out and this Maybelline one seemed as good as any, i've used it a few times so far and I'm a bit unsure of it, i will do a full follow up review soon for anyone interested.

Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream and Concealer-
Another couple of repurchases, i have been so impressed with both of these products and i had to buy them again. I used to wear foundation most days, however since finding this CC cream its taken the place of my everyday skin base and i feel like its so much better for my skin than wearing a heavy foundation. The concealer also works wonders at brightening up my under eye area, definite power duo! (Full review)

Rimmel Apocalips Lip Velvet in Orange-Olog and Meteoric Matte-
Being a massive fan of the original Rimmel Apocalips i was so excited when i spotted their new Matte collection. I am loving the matte lip trend and i have high expectations for these, there is also such great new colours Orange-Olog was a stand out for me and i am looking forward to testing them out properly.

Revlon Colour Stay Moisture Stain in La Exclusive, New York Scene and Parisian Passion-
More lip products i most definitely don't need, yet do still definitely need! I'd had seen Fleur de Force rave about them so i knew i had to try them out. There is a massive colour selection so it took me forever to narrow it down to just three (Boots 3for2) i decided to go for the plum and the deep red as their great A/W shades and a pretty light pink shade.

I hope you enjoyed seeing what i have treated myself to, i will do full reviews on the new products soon.

Primark Summer/Holiday Haul

19 June 2014

Primark Summer/holiday haul
Primark Summer/holiday accessory haul

I recently had a little trip into Primark to look for a Summery beach hat i could wear on holiday (i go next Tuesday eeek!) And as you may be able to tell by the pictures, i did not buy the hat i went in for however, i did buy a random assortment of other holiday clothes and accessories that i probably didn't really need but needed up buying anyway...what can i say i have zero self control when it comes to shopping and at Primarks bargain prices i didn't feel too guilty.

Bright Print Playsuit £5-
I know this print is not for the faint hearted, its in fact even brighter in person that it has come up in the pictures. It just stood out to me the minute i saw it and screamed holiday at me. I love the mixture of the neon pink, turquoise and yellow together such bold Summery colours. The style is pretty loose fitting and simple with an elasticated waist to gives it some shape. I thought it would be the  perfect thing to throw on the way to the beach, and for just £5 you cant go wrong really.
playsuit

Pink & Black Embellished Tribal Playsuit £10-
I love, love, love this playsuit! It looks a lot better on than it does on the hanger, its a lovely fit, loose shorts with an elasticated waist and halter neck top. The Print is quite bold but due to the majority of the print being more muted colours its not overpowering. It's actually a mixture of white, black and grey mixed with a small bit of neon pink. It also has a pretty embellished detail around the neck which i love and means you don't need a necklace to accessories.

White Sunglasses £2-
I have plenty of pair of sunglasses, and did i really need any more no, but i seem to have a massive obsession with having everything white lately, i also love the style i think they are quite retro and again another bargain at £2.

Necklace £6-
I am most definitely not over my statement necklace obsession, i just love how there such a simple way to dress up an outfit and add an interesting touch. I loves this one its stunning and I think it will get a lot of wear when I'm on holiday, and the neutral colours mean it will go with everything.

Circle Earrings £1.50-
As i love my statement necklaces i usually wear small earrings nothing to dramatic otherwise i feel it looks a bit ott. I loved these earrings their just simple circle's with stones in the middle but i think they've definitely got a bit of a holiday vibe and i think they will go well with the necklace.

6 Pack of Studs £1.50
I thought these were really pretty and Summery and would be great to take on holiday as there is a great selection. And also if they do go a lovely shade of green or you lose a few in the pool, for £1.50 for the set its not gonna be the end of the world.

Daisy Headband ££1.50 and Flower Bun Ring £2.00-
I don't no what it is about holidays that has me purchasing flower garlands and headbands that i wouldn't normally wear on an everyday basis! I think it just comes with the territory, holidays, festivals you need your flower head gear apparently...
I thought the daisy headband was really pretty, i  actually think its from the Girls section but it fits me anyway so who cares! I had seen a few people wearing these bun flower things so i thought i would get one great for keeping my hair out of the way in the pool or sea and still looking nice.

So thats everything, i hope you enjoyed seeing my holiday bargains I'm sure you will see me wearing them in some holidays posts when i get back!

Spring Clothing Haul

14 April 2014

I've done a fair bit of shopping lately, adding a few new bits to my wardrobe for spring. I am loving the new seasons fashion trends particularly pastel pieces and i just thought i would do a post to show you the clothes i've picked up lately.

Missguided Berte Cropped Jumper in Yellow and Lilac
I first bought this jumper in the lilac and was so impressed with it i promptly snapped up the yellow one too, in fact i've had to restrain myself from getting it in every colour! Its just a great jumper for spring, the gorgeous pastel colours are so pretty and i love the cropped style its a very flattering fit that looks great with so many things. I wear mine with high waisted Joni jeans and high waisted skirts there also great for layering over other tops if you don't want to show your stomach.

Missguided Emmelie Crepe Bralet in Mint
I had seen a few bloggers wearing these Missguided bralets and i just thought they looked so nice, i wasn't sure i was brave enough to pull one off myself but i thought i would order one and try it on. I was pleasantly surprised with how flattering i found it on myself, i don't like to show a lot of midriff but its not actually as skimpy as it looks and covers a fair amount. I also wasn't sure how comfortable i would be not wearing a bra but the material is quite supportive and i feel really comfortable in it, definitely a great piece to have in your spring wardrobe as it can be mixed up and worn with so much.

H&M Quilted Skater Skirt in Pink
I picked up a mint skater skirt from H&M last summer that i have now worn to death, their just such great versatile wardrobe pieces at such a good price. I spotted this skirt and fell in love with the pretty pastel pink colour and the interesting quilted style i know this skirt will also be getting a lot of wear.

River Island Cut Out Shell Top in Coral
I didn't think a lot of this top when picked it up in the shop, i just grabbed a few tops to try on as i wanted a few casual day tops for spring, it was when i tried it on i fell in love with it. Its such a simple style with pretty cut out detailing and a button up back, i love the coral colour and i think it will look great with a summer tan.

I hope you enjoyed seeing the clothing i've bought lately, what new clothes have you added to your Spring wardrobe?

Payday Treats!

27 May 2013

Shopping!!! :)
I got payed early, thanks to it being another bank holiday weekend, so i took full advantage of me also having a day off to go and treat myself with some retail therapy.
And this is what i bought....

I bought a bit of everything really... clothes, shoes, makeup, jewelry and books.
It might look like a lot but i think i was quiet well behaved really i could have bought a lot more but i tried to behave myself....
Shoes Primark
So the first place i went was primark where i picked up a pair of black strappy sandals, a black blouse and some jewelry. Strappy sandals are a big trend right now, so when i saw these in primark i snapped them up. I love the how these shoes look on, they were only £12 which is such a bargain and i don't think they look cheap at all, these shoes are also comfy and pretty easy to walk in defiantly another massive plus point.

Primark jewelry
Primark is such a great place to buy inexpensive on trend jewelry, they have got some lovely summery jewelry pieces in right now. I got these three bracelet sets, ring set and earring for £8!!! bargain! I just love the bright fun designs they make me think of summer, beaches and festivals.

Blouse Primark

This is the last thing i bought in Primark its just a simple black short sleeved blouse, its really not the best picture, but i really like it and it was only £8 and i thought it would look nice with some disco pants or tucked into shorts.

Pink top River Island

Another trend I'm loving are the strappy camis that are around everywhere, i've got a really pretty printed topshop one and wanted to get a couple more for summer, i was drawn to this one in River Island. Its the nicest pink colour and has adjustable straps, and was only £10.

T Shirts River Island
I also got these two t-shirts in River Island there just plain and simple v-neck t-shirts with a pocket on the breast, they were £12 each or two for £16.

Rings Topshop
I was so well behaved in topshop they have some really nice stuff in there, but i ended up just getting these rings, there midi rings that sit above the knuckle i had seen people wearing these and really wanted some.  The set on the left is so pretty, there is a gold, rose gold and silver colored rings with a sparkly look, the other set are pretty plain v shaped rings and you get a silver, gold and dark grey/black colored ring, both sets were £6.50.

Revlon moon candy
My only beauty buy of the day were these two Revlon moon candy nail enamels, i got the colours orbit (Purple) and moon dust (black) they are usually £7.99 but there is currently £2.00 off in boots so i got them both for £11.98. i think i will do a review when i've tested both colours.
The last things i bought were a couple of new books, Wedding night by Sophie Kinsella and Dead ever after by Charlene Harris, both books are by a couple of my favorite authors and i cant wait to read them.
So thats everything, thanks for reading,
Zoe
