Vichy Dermablend Review!

03 September 2013

Hey lovely's, i had been on the hunt for a new foundation for a while, i never really just go out and buy a new one without doing a bit of research and checking out some reviews first. I had seen a few bloggers say good things about Vichy Dermablend so i picked it up for myself last month and its been my new favorite foundation ever since. I ask quiet a lot from a foundation, i have oily skin so i need one that is as long lasting as possible, i also have quite large pores and am prone to brakeouts so i tend to go for high coverage foundations. I had been using Estee Lauder Double Wear religiously for the last year or so, and it was the first foundation i found that actually lasted a fair few hours without me having to touch up my makeup. The only problem i had with it and the reason i wanted to try something new is that i find it feels heavy on the skin and even with a primer it sinks into my pores not covers them as i want. Vichy Dermablend is a corrective foundation designed to give total coverage and cover up redness, dark circles, acne scars, enlarged pores, irregular skintone and pigmentation, whilst still claiming to not mask the skin.

There's not a massive colour selection i think there is only five shades in total, i went for the shade 25 Nude which is the second lightest shade, it does look a bit light in the pictures above but on my face its a very good match.
What i love about this foundation is how it feels on my skin, i find it to feel so lightweight and natural. The coverage is brilliant it cover spots and and glides over pores without sinking into to them and makes my skin look heathy and fresh.
Performance wise it isn't as long lasting as my Estee Lauder Double Wear, however it does still do a good job at keeping the shine at bay but i have to touch up with a bit of powder throughout the day.
I am just in love with how it looks and feels and am so glad i decided to try it!
Has anyone else tried this foundation? What did you think?

  1. Shame the shades are so limited, I don't why companies do it! It does look very creamy though, does it blend in well? That is always my pet hate with foundations!

  3. I know Lisa Eldridge raves about this foundation for people with spotty skin and I've been meaning to try it out so many times already, but I ended up getting the famous Revlon Colorstay foundation which I loved but after using it up and with summer just starting, I stopped wearing foundations and thanks to a massive change in my lifestyle, my skin has cleared up quite a bit. I can get away with some BB cream ATM, but if I break out during colder months, I'll definitely keep this in mind!
